A client of mine once said on his check-in:

“Rome wasn’t built in a day, but Rome was built.”

I love that.

This was his realization that achieving the size and muscle mass he wants is going to be a long, long road.

I am so proud of him for realizing this, and like many clients myself included), it might take a few rounds of them screwing things up before they actually believe it. It’s like going after the person everyone tells you to stay away from, dating them anyway, and learning your lesson.

In this day and age, patience is hard to come by. We want things yesterday, we want fast, cheap and quality.

Those 3 things cannot exist together.

Same with coaching- you can’t be the best and the cheapest out there. It just doesn’t work that way.

Nothing is more gratifying to a coach than the moment a client understands their journey is unique to them, that it is a long process- one that has no predictable timeline (because unique), and they are not a special snowflake with a body that has an aversion to change.

But hey, it’s confusing out there. We all see the people on IG eating all the food, but not knowing how they stay so lean.

Those who know the work it takes to get there, know there are times you are fluffier, heavier on the scale, training less, training more, eating less, eating more. Over and over and over over TIME.

It really is cool when you can enjoy the process- the calorie increases, the muscle gains, the performance gains, outlifting others around you, developing abs when you never did, sprinting faster than you ever have, and learning how amazing your body is along the way.

You just have to be patient and take it as it comes.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but Rome was built.

Let’s set up a consultation if you’re sick of trying to figure it out alone, & want to do it the right way.
